The International Office will send your Learning Agreement to the Departmental Coordinator for study plan confirmation / signature.

DEADLINE APPLICATION:

Although we don´t have strict deadlines, we advice students to send applications and LA as soon as possible till:

FIRST SEMESTER: 1ST JULY

SECOND SEMESTER: 1ST DECEMBER

CREDITS:

UMa ONLY ALLOWS A STUDENT TO REGISTER IN ISOLATED CURRICULAR UNITS IN A TOTAL OF 60 ECTS A YEAR (MOST OF CURRICULAR UNITS HAS 7,5 CREDITS).

Any special request to make more than 60 credits a year, must be confirmed by your Course Director.

REGISTERING IN EXAMS

Registering in exams and re-sit exams must be performed in disclosed time limits by the Academic Issues Unit (UAA). Registrations must be done, except when instructed by the UAA, in the InfoAlunos system (Services tab > Registering/Enrolments tab)

The International Office will send your name and e-mail to the Social Services to confirm a room for you.

There are double and triple rooms.

PRICES – ERASMUS ACCOMMODATION FEES:

Please confirm with the Social Services the exact amount, because it varies according to our minimum wage. You will pay 25% of our minimum wage (about 121.25€ + 30.00 € for maintenance costs)

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO MADEIRA

When you arrive to Madeira, go directly to the UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE. There, confirm you are Erasmus student and your name.

Address: Rua de Santa Maria, nº 253; 9060-291 Funchal.

Then, make your registration for accommodation in the SOCIAL SERVICES; The Social Services and University Residence are in the same address/building.

MEETINGS

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OFFICE:

You will receive the application for your official registration in Académicos Office – University Campus

Address: Penteada – Tecnopolo – Funchal.

Then, you will meet your Erasmus responsible teacher to help you defining your courses in the University Campus

1ST SEMESTER: Classes 20th September / Ends 22nd January

Exams: 31st – 12th February

2ND SEMESTER: Classes will begin approximately 21st February / Ends 25th June
